Education has emerged as a key pillar of the ongoing strategic global partnership between India and the United States, Indian Ambassador to the United States Nirupama Rao said today.
There has been considerable progress in expanding the bilateral initiative, specially in the area of community colleges, online education and research and innovation, Rao said while speaking on 'Indo-US Knowledge initiative' as part of the Calicut University's frontier lecture series.
She said community colleges, which were well established all over the US, could provide us with lessons that could be relevant to Indian needs.
