Eeshapriya Theertha Swami anointed

Engineering graduate, 29-year-old Eeshapriya Theertha Swami of Admar Math has been anointed as junior seer of the Admar math, one of the eight maths or Ashta Maths of Udupi, near here.

The 33rd seer in the lineage (guru parampara) of Admar Math, he was anointed yesterday after he accepted the Sanyasa Deeksha here, as the holy rituals including 'Pattabhishekha' were performed under the guidance of Vishvapriya Theertha Swami at Durgaparameshwari Temple at Padubelle near Udupi.

The religious rituals for the coronation ceremony had begun on June 16. Vidyadheesha Theertha Swami of Palimar Math was also present. Eeshapriya Theertha would study shastras under the guidance of Vidyadheesha Theertha Swami.
 

Eeshapriya Theertha Swami is the first highly academically qualified seer at the Ashta Maths. The math runs several educational institutions in different parts of the country.

The earlier name of Eeshapriya Theertha Swami was S Shreesha. He was born on March 20, 1985 as the youngest of the four sons of S Chandrashekhar and Gouri from Shiroor village in Udupi district.
