The crime branch wing of Tamil Nadu police, CB-CID, today said it has arrested three persons for 'criminal negligence' in connection with the accident at an industrial site in Vellore district last week, in which 10 persons were killed.

They were all office-bearers of the leather effluent treatment company, the agency said.

"Crime Branch CID has arrested Amirthakatesan, Managing Director, Jayachandran and Subramaniyan, both directors of the company," it said in a release here.

Last week, 10 labourers, including nine from West Bengal, drowned in toxic sludge when the tank storing it collapsed.
