Egmore MM Courts will function in Allikulam Moore Market MM

Magistrate Courts which at Egmore here will shifted to Allikulam Moore Moore Market complex near the Central Railway Station from August one till the construction of a new combined Court Complex building is comupleted.

Justice R Sudhakar, Chairman, Madras High Court Building Committee told reporters that a decision to shift the Egmore Magistrate Courts was taken by the committee.

The construction work of new combined court complex will be taken up in two phases and the first phase will be of seven Court halls and the second will be of five court halls.

The Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Court which is one of the heritage buildings will be renovated as per the archeological and preservation technology.
 

The estimate for the rirst phase is around Rs 11 crores and for the second phase estimate is yet to be received he said.
