EGoM studying related issues on Phase III radio licences: Govt

In a written reply in the Rajya Sabha, Information and Broadcasting Minister Manish Tewari said that issues being considered by the EGoM included the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India's (TRAI) recommendation to reduce inter channel spacing to 400 KHZ from the present 800 KHz.

Deviation in the Request for Proposal for appointment of an e-auctioneer was another area being considered by the EGoM.

The third area related to the issue of fee chargeable, if any, for migration of Phase II FM licences to Phase III, he said.
