The Pugalur plant of sugar manufacturer EID Parry, part of the diversified business conglomerate Murugappa Group, has bagged the Bonsucro certification for sustainability practices in sugar production.
"This is a very significant achievement. It has been the hard work put by the the sugarcane team, supporting parties and the farmers over many many years.", EID Parry Managing Director V Ramesh told reporters here.

PVV bags another order for prefab toilets from NTPC * PVV Infra Ltd today said it has bagged an additional order of Rs 7 crore from NTPC for construction and installation of pre-fabricated toilets under the 'Swachh Vidyalay Abhiyaan' in four states.
"The company has received an additional order for construction of prefab toilets under 'Swachh Vidyalay Abhiyaan' programme from NTPC for installation of toilets in the state of Madhya Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Rajasthan," PVV Infra Ltd said in a BSE filing.

GIPCL's 2 wind turbines of 1.5 MW each start producing power * Gujarat Industries Power Company (GIPCL) has commissioned two wind turbine generators (WTGs) of 1.5 MW each at Amreli in Gujarat.
"First two of WTGs each of 1.5 MW, out of 51 MW Wind Power Project (34X1.5 MW), have been successfully commissioned by GIPCL at District Amreli, Gujarat," GIPCL has said in a BSE filing.
