Some of the biggest congregations were witnessed at Mir Alam Idgah and the historic Mecca Masjid, among others.
Warangal, Nizamabad, Mahabubnagar and Nalgonda in Telangana, besides Vijayawada, Guntur, Kurnool and Anantapur in Andhra Pradesh witnessed large congregations.
Governor of AP and Telangana E S L Narasimhan, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao extended their greetings on the occasion.
