Eid-ul-Azha celebrated with religious fervor in Jammu

Eid-ul-Azha was celebrated with religious fervor and gaiety across the city today as people flocked to mosques at Eidgah and Residency Road here to offer prayers.

A spirit of festivity marked the celebrations.

People exchanged greetings and large gatherings were seen at mosqueswhich were decorated magnificently with markets abuzz with activity.

MLA East Rajesh Gupta, Divisional Commissioner M K Bhandari, Inspector General of Police (Jammu Zone) S D Singh Jamwal, Deputy Commissioner Kumar Rajeev Ranjan among others also prayed for peace and tranquility in Jammu and Kashmir.

The administration here had made elaborate arrangements for the smooth celebration of the festival.
 

Eid-ul-Azha was also celebrated with religious fervour and gaiety in Ramban too.

The biggest congregations took place at the Jamia Masjid Sharif in Ramban and Eid Gah Banihal where large number of devotees performed Namaz-e-Eid.

Namaz was offered at mosques in Chandrog, Maitra and Upper Ramban.
