Both Eid-ul-Fitr and Rath Yatra were celebrated with religious fervour across Jharkhand today as people greeted each other and exchanged sweets.
Special prayers were held at Mosques on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr as thousands congregated in the morning and embraced each others.
To mark Rathyatra festival in the afternoon, people assembled at the famous Jagannathpur Temple, built in 1691, here and pulled the chariot of Lord Jagannath, Balbhadra and Subhadra.

Chief Minister Raghubar Das, former Chief Minister Hemant Soren and ex-Union minister Subodhkant Sahay were among the devotees, who prayed for peace and prosperity.
Inaugurating the Jagannathpur fair on the occasion, Das said the annual fair reflected social harmony.
