Eight accused in murder case remanded to judicial custody

Eight persons, arrested in connection with the triple murder in the city a couple of days ago, were today remanded to custody till September 11.

The accused were produced before 7th Judicial Magistrate Court and Magistrate Hemanand Kumar remanded them to judicial custody for 14 days.

Three persons were brutally killed, with sickles and other lethal weapons, after waylaying them in Chintamanipudur in the city and injured another person with gun on the night of Wednesday.

Police arrested the accused from different places in Tamil Nadu and were on the look out for some more persons.
