A court here has awarded life imprisonment to eight people for killing four members of a family in 2004, an official said today.
Additional Sessions Judge Ramesh Chandra Diwakar pronounced the verdict yesterday, convicting the eight for killing Rampal, Satvir, Harendra and his wife Monika in August, 2004, in Kirthal village, he said.
The court awarded the sentence to Sudhir Kumar, Padam Singh, Karan Singh, Ramphal, Ompal, Subodh, Rampal and Bhopal besides imposing a fine of Rs 10,000 on each of them, Additional Government Counsel Surendra Yadav said.
