Eight hurt in clash over playing song at marriage ceremony

Eight persons were injured in a clash between two groups over playing of music at a marriage in Sagaon village in Thane district today, the police said.

The members of the groups attacked each other with swords, iron rods and choppers, as they insisted on playing a particular song at the event, said an official attached to Manpada police station.

At least eight persons sustained injuries, following which they were rushed to hospital, he said.

No arrest is made so far, the police said, adding an FIR was registered under various sections of IPC and Amrs Act.
