Eight persons from Indore have been killed in the Uttarakhand rain disaster even as 53 others are still missing, a senior official said today.
The administration has taken photographs and mobile numbers of the missing persons from their family members, based on which efforts would be made to trace them, Additional District Magistrate Alok Singh told PTI.
A team sent by the Madhya Pradesh government to Uttarakhand was making all efforts to trace the missing persons from the state, Singh said.

After the campaign to rescue pilgrims, efforts will be made to trace missing pilgrims, he had said.
An immediate assistance of Rs 50,000 each will be provided to families of missing persons, he added.
