Eight injured in a clash between two groups over land dispute

At least eight people, including three women, were injured as two groups clashed over a land dispute at Faloda village in this district, the police said today.

According to Vijay Singh, the SHO of Purkazi Police Station, the clash took place last evening when Mukesh Kumar and Sanjiv, of two opposing groups, confronted each other.

A heated argument ensued and within minutes friends and family of the two persons joined in and attacked each other with lathis and sharp weapons.

Police rushed to the spot and arrested seven people, while the eight injured were shifted to a nearby hospital.
