Eight persons were injured a in clash between two groups following an argument over the use of a public handpump at Mukalampura village here, police said.
The incident occurred yesterday in Miranpur police station area when Anil Balmiki and Pupu Kashyap had an argument over the use of the handpump, SHO Chanderkiran Yadavsaid.
Lathis and stones were used in the clash. Police has registered a case against 14 persons and arrested seven of them.
The eight injured, including two women, were shifted to hospital.
