Eight persons including a police official and a photographer were injured today in a cylinder blast near the premises of a court here.
The incident occurred outside the court of District Judge as a cylinder exploded at a roadside vendor's shop.
Fire tenders doused the flames and the injured were rushed to a government hospital where their condition was stated to be stable, police said.
District Collector Neeraj K Pawan immediately reached the spot to take stock of the situation.
The matter is being probed to ascertain the reasons behind the blast, police said.
