Eight persons, returning from a marriage party, were killed and three others injured when their jeep rammed into a tree in Odisha's Kalahandi district, police said today.
The jeep, returning from Seinpur village in Bhawanipatna block to Dhanpur, hit the tree near Sagada on the NH 26 around midnight last night, they said.
Eight persons, including the driver and three children died on the spot, they said.
The three injured persons were admitted to the Bhawanipatna Government hospital where their condition was stated to be critical.
