Eight minors drown in separate incidents in Bihar

Eight minors drowned in separate incidents in Bihar today.

Four boys, identified as Md Yasin (9), Md Sajjad (10), Md Barkat (9) and Mohan Kumar (10) drowned in a waterbody while they were taking bath in Ladbaiya-Bahiyar village in Begusarai district, a police officer said.

Local divers rescued Kumar's cousin Rani Kumari (9) who had also fallen in the waterbody, he said.

In another incident, bodies of two boys, identified as Pintu Kumar (8) and Jafar (10) were recovered from the Sone river in Rohtas district two days after they had gone missing, Superintendent of Police (SP) Shivdeep Lande said.
 

In Buxar district, Golu Chaudhary (12) and Ajay Kumar (14) met watery grave in the river Ganga while taking bath, a police officer said.

The bodies were recovered by divers from Shamrekhaghat of the river.
