Eight persons, who were stuck today after the water levels of Musi river increased following heavy rains in neighbouring Valigonda mandal have been rescued, police said.
The rescue operation was carried out jointly by the police with the help of fisherman, personnel from fire, NDRF, revenue team, a release from Rachakonda Police Commissionerate said tonight.
The rescued persons including women are in the age group of 19 to 62 years, it said.
