Police has registered cases against the owners of eight petrol pumps for under reporting their revenues, an official said today.
The cases were registered yesterday after financial irregularities were found in pumps in several places in western Uttar Pradesh, said district supply officer Madan Yadav.
Besides Muzaffarnagar, the other places include Khatoi, Retenpuri and Bhopa.
The accused were booked under the Essential Commodities Act, he said.
