Eight-year-old girl dies

An eight-year-old girl died after she was allegedly hit by a juvenile over a petty issue, in Anand Parbat area of Central Delhi, police said today.

The girl was allegedly hit by a 15-year-old boy, on July 13, who was annoyed with her as she went to another shop instead of buying groceries from the shop run by his father.

Her parents took her to RML Hospital after she was hit by the boy but girl was later discharged from the hospital after treatment.

However, her condition again deteriorated and she died last night.

The accused boy has been detained by the police after the girl died, on the complaint of her parents. The girl's body has been sent for post-mortem.
 

"We have registered a case under Section 304 (culpable homicide not amounting to murder) in the death of the girl. The accused boy has been detained. The exact reason of death of the girl will be known after the post mortem report is received," said Central Delhi DCP Parmaditya.
