An eight years old girl was allegedly raped by a minor youth at village Bhandewadi in Karjat tehsil, some 50 km from here, police said.
Inspector Shivaji Gaware told PTI that the incident took place at around 5.30 pm yesterday.
Police had apprehended the accused, who is 14 years old, he said.
As he is a minor, he was sent in the custody of Juvenile Justice Board.
