National awardee 'Anshumaner Chhobi' maker Atanu Ghosh is now ready with his 'Ek Phaali Rodh' which has been selected for the Indian Competitive secion of 7th Bengaluru International Film Festival.
"Ek Phaali Rodh is the only entry from Bengal in the Indian Competitive Section of the prominent festival which will showcase several recent international films for the cineastes of the country," Atanu, whose Aby Sen is also in post-production stage, said.
The film, inspired by the report of a real life incident of murder of a woman in a public place of New York, ralks about the indifference of passers-by to come to the aid of someone in trouble in modern cities.
It has an enviable cast of Dhritiman Chatterjee, Ritwik Chakrabarty, Jisshu Sengupta, Tota Roychowdhury, Arunima Ghosh, Barun Chanda and Rudranil Ghosh.
