Bodies of an elderly couple, bearing injury marks inflicted by a sharp weapon, were found at their house in Kalilashpuri Colony this morning, police said.

Seventy-year-old Bajrang Singh Naruka, a former railway employee, and his wife Sadhana Singh (65) were killed with a sharp weapon last night by unidentified persons, SHO at the Railway Police Station Shivraj Singh said.

A case of murder has been registered by the police against unidentified persons, he said.

"The motive does not seem to be robbery or theft as no valuable or other items were stolen from the house. The weapon used in the crime has been recovered," the SHO said, adding their daughter lives in Jaipur.

The bodies have been handed over to the family members after post-mortem, he said.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Bhagwan Singh Godara visited the spot, Singh said.
