Elderly farmer electrocuted to death

A-70-year-old farmer was today electrocuted to death after he came in contact with a live wire in Eedaramaddala village in the Krishna district, police said.

M Venkateswara Rao was electrocuted to death while he was working in his agriculture field, an official with Pedaparupudi police station said.

A high-tension wire fell on him. He was killed on the spot, the officer said.

Rao is survived by wife and seven children. A case has been registered in this connection and investigations are underway, police said.
