A 50-year-old labourer was today hospitalised after being hit by a car in south Delhi, two days after a teenager died in Paschim Vihar in a similar incident.

A PCR call was received at 5.05 PM about a road accident that happened near Moti Bagh Chow, said a senior police officer.

The victim Dasrath Yadav was hit by a Mercedes car bearing a UP number, he said.

Yadav is currently undergoing treatment at Safdarjang Hospital where his condition is stated to be critical, he added.

On inquiry, the car number has been found to be temporary, the officer said, adding the accused car driver fled towards New Delhi after hitting the victim.

A case has been registered at South Campus police station and efforts are being made to identify the accused.

A 17-year-old driver died after a Mercedes car rammed into his scooter in outer Delhi's Paschim Cigar area on March 5.
