A 65-year-old man and a youth were shot dead allegedly by unidentified persons, police said today.
Suresh Pal, a resident of Rasoli village, had gone to his fields with 25-year-old Shailendra last night, when they were shot dead by some persons, police said, adding, their bullet-riddled bodies were later found from the spot.
Police has registered a case against the unidentified accused on the complaint of the family of the deceased.
The police has also linked the shootout with the murder of one Nitin in court premises on Friday.
Nitin was brought to court as a witness in a case involving Udham Singh and Yogesh Bhagoda of the same village, police said, adding, he (Nitin) was called to give a statement against Bhagoda, police said.
Yogesh Bhagoda is a cousin of Suresh Pal, they added.
Police suspect that people belonging to the Yogesh's gang may have shot Nitin dead and the murders of Pal and Shailendra can be a case of revenge by Udham Singh's gang.
