Ghulam Mohammad Mir (55), a resident of Patoosa village, was attacked by the bear yesterday at Saterhar Jungle, Sopore causing serious injuries to him, they said.
The victim was rushed to a hospital where he succumbed to injuries.
Later, the bear was killed by the wildlife department, they added.
