Abdul Gani Digoo, a resident of Arigi-Check village in Pulwama, suffered injuries in his right leg when unidentified militants fired at him last night, a police spokesman said.
Digoo was coming out after meeting Ali Mohammad, a Sarpanch affiliated to the ruling National Conference, when he was attacked.
He was rushed to the district hospital in Pulwama from where he has referred to Bone and Joints Hospital here.
