An elderly person has been arrested for allegedly raping an 11-year-old girl here, police said today.
According to police, the man, said to be in his sixties and referred to as Budha Baba by his neighbours, allegedly raped the girl, the daughter of labourers, yesterday when she went to his house in the morning.
Police was informed after the girl's father returned home in the evening and learnt of the matter.
