A 70-year-old woman was today robbed off jewellery worth Rs 3 lakh allegedly by two youths when she was alone at her house, police said.
The incident took place this afternoon when the two youths barged into Asha's house from the rear entry and took on her at knife-point, they said.
According to the woman, the youths then asked her to shell out all the cash and jewellery following which they ransacked the house and fled with gold jewellery amounting Rs 3 lakh.
Sub-Inspector Dalbir, incharge Police Post said that the police have taken CCTV footage of a nearby shop in which the robbers are seen.
He said that the police are expecting an early breakthrough in the case.
