A 62-year-old woman and her handicapped son were found murdered at their house in Outer Delhi's Rohini area here this afternoon, police said.
The incident came to light when the neighbours grew suspicious as the TV of the house was switched on at an abnormally high volume, they said.
When the neighbours checked the house around 11:20 AM, its door was open and Usha Mishra (62) and her son Jitendra Prakash (40) were found dead in their first floor house at Rohini Sector-5 where they had been living for the last 26 years.

Both the victims sustained grievous head injuries.
Investigators have recovered two glasses on the table suggesting the involvement of familiar persons. The entry into the house was friendly which further strengthened suspicion that the attackers were known to the victims.
Although the house was found ransacked, relatives of the victims told police that nothing substantial was found missing.
"It seems that robbery was not the motive in the double murder. Personal enmity or property dispute could be the reason. We are investigating the case from all possible angles," the official said.
Mishra's husband, who ran a magazine store in Ashok Vihar area, had passed away in 2008. Jitendra suffered from spondylitis and was bedridden and walked with a stick.
Jitendra's wife also died a few months back due to some disease.
Police officials said the victims had rented out another house, located in the same area to earn their livelihood.
A team from Crime Branch and forensics also reached the spot and picked circumstantial evidences.
The CCTV footage of the nearby area is being examined to identify the assailants, they said.
