A 40-year-old man today sustained a fracture in the leg when an elephant attacked him near here, police said.
The man had gone to cut wood on the outskirts this morning when he was attacked by the jumbo, police said.
Passers-by rushed to the spot on hearing him screaming and drove the elephant into the jungle.
The man, with a fractured leg, was later admitted to the government hospital here,police said.
