Elephant carcass found in river

The carcass of an elephant that came flowing in the Siang river was found from a place near Assam-Arunachal Pradesh border.

According to Forest department officials, the carcass bears three bullet marks.

The local people near the border in Assam side saw the pachyderm yesterday and informed forest officials, sources said.
