A herd of elephants trampled to death a girl and damaged several houses at Theperaguri in Nagaon district of Assam today, forest officials said.
The elephants entered the village from nearby jungles last night and destroyed several thatched houses before they trampled to death Ratumani Saura (19) early this morning, the sources said.
