An elocutionist's house here was attacked by some miscreants allegedly for complaining against playing of loud music at a makeshift pandal on the day of Saraswati Puja, following which two persons have been arrested.

Elocutionist Partho Ghosh has lodged a complaint with the police saying that his house in DumDum was attacked last night with stones and several windowpanes were left broken.

"They were playing very loud music and shouting at the top of their voice. When we only told them to stop, saying that we have a patient at home, they started hurling abuses at us. Soon our house was attacked with stones," Ghosh said.

Deputy Commissioner of Barrackpore police Ajay Kumar Thakur said they have arrested two persons in this connection after receiving a complaint from the family.
