Emergency landing at Kolkata airport

A Sharjah-bound Air Arabia flight from Chittagong in Bangladesh made an emergency landing at Kolkata airport today after smoke was reported in the cockpit of the aircraft.

The plane was carrying 164 passengers and 17 crew.

The airline's flight G9-522 landed at Kolkata airport at 10.40am and took off for its destination at 2.30pm after the fault was attended.

The airline informed that all passengers and crew were safe.
