A Mumbai-bound Jetlite plane, with 117 people on board, today landed under emergency conditions at IGI airport here, returning within minutes of take off after pilots detected cracks in the wind shield.

Flight S2 4107 landed safely and the emergency was terminated by 4.55 PM but it led to delay in arrival and departure of some flights, airport sources said.

The Boeing 737 with 108 passengers and nine crew members took off for Mumbai from here at 4.18 PM but within five minutes pilots declared an emergency citing cracks in wind shield, the sources said.

The pilots were asked to go for a turnaround and all take-offs and landing were halted at the airport, which led to delay in arrivals and departures of some flights, they said.

"All passengers were safe," they added.
