"Game of Thrones" star Emilia Clarke has set the record straight about her feelings on nudity and gratuitous scenes, saying she is fine doing it.

The clarification came after it was widely reported Clarke, 28, told a British tabloid that explicit scenes made her "cringe".

The "Terminator Genisys" actress took to Instagram to clarify her take on nudity or explicit scenes.

"In drama, if a nude scene forwards a story or is shot in a way that adds insight into characters, I'm perfectly fine with it. Sometimes explicit scenes are required and make sense for the characters/story, as they do in Westeros," Clarke wrote in her post.

"If it's gratuitous for gratuitous sake, then I will discuss with a director on how to make it more subtle. In either case, like a good Mother of Dragons, I'm always in control," she added.

Slamming the publication, Clarke, who plays the Mother of Dragons in HBO's fantasy drama, said she did not agree to speak to the publication and was misquoted by its journalist.

"I was followed into a party by a journalist, who asked me a question about female empowerment and then quoted me entirely out of context for an outlet I didn't agree to speak with.
