The 2015 Emmy Awards slipped to a record low of 11.9 million total viewers as it faced a stiff competition from the "Sunday Night Football".
The Fox award show netted a rating of 3.6 in the key 18-49 demographic, which is down 14 percent from last year's 4.2, reported The Wrap.
The 2014 awards show, however, was aired on NBC on a Monday in August, not competing against TV's top primetime broadcast.
