Sleuths of Anti-Corruption Bureau today arrested a deputy commissioner rank officer of the Endowments Department for allegedly possessing assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.
ACB conducted simultaneous searches on the properties of Kancharla Vijaya Sagar Babu in Krishna district and his relatives and friends' houses in Kurnool district of Andhra Pradesh today, the agency stated in a release.
The value of the assets was estimated to be over Rs 2. 69 crore according to book value.
The officer would be produced in the special court for ACB cases in Vijayawada tomorrow and the investigation into the case would continue, the release said.
