Engineering graduate held for thefts, 59 laptops seized

An engineering graduate, who allegedly indulged in thefts, was arrested from Kukatpally area here and 59 laptops as well as gold and silver ornaments were recovered from his possession, police said today.

Accused M Seenaiah Sundar, a native of Anantapur town of Andhra Pradesh was nabbed while he was moving in a suspicious manner last evening during vehicle checking. During interrogation, it was revealed that he was wanted in 38 cases, including that of house burglaries and thefts, they said.

Sundar, who came to Hyderabad on job search, had several bad habits, including consumption of alchohol, police said.

"He resorted to committing thefts in locked houses by breaking locks with the help of bolt cutter after getting inspiration by watching a Telugu movie and started committing thefts to meet out his lavish expenses and gaining money," a release from KPHB police said.
 

As many as 59 laptops, besides 472 grams of gold ornaments and 443 grams of silver ornaments, were seized from his possession, it said.
