A 21-year-old B.Tech student today allegedly committed suicide inside his hostel room here, police said.
Kumar Nayan, who hailed from Patna, was a first-year student of Sardar Ballahbhai Patel Agricultural University.
Police said Nayan committed suicide by hanging himself from the ceiling fan in his room sometime last night.
When he did not come out of his room till late in the morning, the students informed the college authorities, who broke open the door, they said.
The body has been sent for post-mortem and a probe is on in the matter, police added.
