Road traffic on the Mathura-Agra national highway remained paralysed for over four hours today following a road blockade by the agitated students of an engineering college over the death of a girl student in a road mishap near Farah town here.
Sweta (22), a student of Sachdeva Engineering College, was run over by a canter this afternoon while she was crossing the road near the institution, Dy SP Mukul Dwivedi said.
Agitated over this, other students of the college caught the driver and cleaner of the vehicle and man-handled them.

The blockade was lifted only after a team of police officials led by SHO, Farah police station, Ram Kesar Yadav, rushed to the spot and assured the students of severe punishment to the accused.
