Meerut Divisional Commissioner Alok Sinha today directed police to ensure smooth flow of traffic between Noida and Greater Noida.
"The impact should be visible. Though there has been some improvement, the measures taken till now are not inadequate," Sinha said.
Bus drivers and auto-rickshaw drivers stop in the middle of the road to take passengers and park at crossing. It causes traffic snarls and congestion, he said.

"Officers must take action against such drivers and seize their vehicles. During peak hours a magistrate should be present at important crossings and roads for better traffic management," the DC said.
Road from the botanical garden to Ashok Nagar and Pari Chowk at Greater Noida are worst affected by traffic snarls.
"In the first phase these two roads should be made traffic snarl free. Buses should stop at bus stops and auto drivers at respective parking stands," he said, adding it should be ensured women passengers don't face harassment from auto-drivers.
