In the third year now, the Journalism Awards have been instituted to promote best practices among journalists and encourage good quality writing, fair play and high ethical standards, the release said.

Meanwhile, the Press Club has re-branded the awards as "RedInk Awards" reflecting the dramatic changes in media over the years and growing stature of the Club's endeavours.

The new RedInk awards would continue to uphold and celebrate the highest ideals of journalism, the release added.
