Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal today said a world class entry point plaza would soon be constructed near Durgiana temple here.
After paying obeisance at the temple, he said the state government was working on the masterplan of a "world class" entry plaza near the entrance of the temple, adding the target for completing the project is 3-4 months.
One of the best architects in the world has been engaged to design the plaza and all plans would be finalised in a meeting scheduled for next week, Sukhbir said, adding that the plaza would have adequate parking space and other facilities.
Noting that he was personally monitoring the ongoing development projects in the holy city, the Shiromani Akali Dal chief said the state government was all set to develop Amritsar as one of the best cities in the country by 2017.
