Pakistan High Commissioner to India Abdul Basit has called for breaking of psychological barriers that are preventing bilateral trade between the two neighbours.

He said this would serve to enhance mutual understanding and eventually help the two nations to resolve their disputes and build a strong edifice of peace and stability.

Inaugurating a week-long 'Made-in Pakistan expo' here, which is being organised by the domestic industry lobby Association of Indian Industries, the Pak commerce & textiles ministry and the Pak ready-made garments manufacturers & exporters body, Basit called up on increased trade ties between the two nations.

Basit also lauded business communities of the neighbours for creating ever more bridges between the two countries.

The expo is being held from April 3-7 at the World Trade Centre here and is showcasing Pakistan's textiles, fashion fabrics, food items, and spices, etc. Around 78 Pakistani companies/brands are displaying their products at the expo.
