Envoys of different countries here today extended greetings to India on the occasion of the 69th Republic Day, with some diplomats attending the parade at Rajpath.
"Such an honour to participate in India's 69th #RepublicDay celebrations. Thoroughly enjoyed this spectacular parade! #USIndia70," US envoy to India Ken Juster tweeted.
Extending his wishes, Juster said on Twitter, "Best wishes to the people of India on this 69th #RepublicDay. The United States stands with India as a true friend and partner, and I hope that our durable #USIndia partnership will be a source of stability and prosperity across the world. #USIndiaDosti #USIndia70."
The Australian High Commissioner to India, Harinder Sidhu, also extended good wishes to Indians and Australians. January 26 is celebrated as 'Australia Day'.
"Warmest wishes and happy greetings on the occasion of India's #Republicday2018 @CanadainIndia," Canadian High Commissioner to India Nadir Patel tweeted.
French ambassador to India Alexandre Ziegler and Israeli envoy Daniel Carmon also wished the nation on the occasion.
