An Enforcement Officer, who was yesterday arrested for graft, was today booked under the Wildlife Act for keeping protected animals, a tortoise and parrot, at his residence here, Anti-Corruption Bureau officials said.
"The parrot and the tortoise was found during a search of his house at Borekheda yesterday. Irfan Quershi has been booked under Section 9 and 51 of the Wildlife Act," ASP ACB (Kota) Arun Macchya said.
The accused, today, was sent to jail till February 3 by an ACB court, he said.

"Qureshi was caught red-handed accepting a bribe of Rs 10,000 at his house in Borekheda from a ration dealer from Dabi in Bundi district. Apart from the animals no valuables were found in the search," the ASP said.
The accused had demanded a bribe of Rs 25,000 for sorting out a matter of the ration dealer, who had already paid Rs 10,000, he said.
A complaint in the matter was lodged on January 17, the ASP said.
